ACCESS, our clients, and our community partners are truly grateful for the dedicated service offered by this group of volunteers — week after week and year after year.
Our volunteer opportunities also continue to evolve and expand. We’d love to find a role that is just the right fit for your interests and availability, and that also allows you to engage with the community in a way that is meaningful for you.
It’s organized. There’s a place for you and a need, and it’s nice you know? And those who need assistance, it’s fun to work with them because they’re personable and they’re in need and they’re just real people. You know they’ve got personalities, they laugh at funny things, and you know but they’ve got issues that they’re dealing with because they have needs. And it provided us an opportunity to come out of ourselves a little bit more and show a little more compassion, and it’s just a comfortable place because you have this opportunity to reach out and to share and not really put your arms around people, but your heart goes around people. And at the end of the time you spend, you know, your heart, part of your heart is just left where you served.
