Medford, April 26, 2024: The Jackson County Emergency Food and Shelter Program’s (EFSP) Local Board is now accepting applications from non-profit or public agencies who work with people in need of emergency food. These funds were awarded to Jackson County by the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Federal EFSP funds are to be used for direct food assistance only and not for staff or infrastructure expenses. Grants can support food services such as congregate meals or groceries.
The deadline to apply for emergency food funding is 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024. ACCESS, Jackson County’s Community Action Agency, serves as the fund administrator on behalf of the EFSP Local Board.
